Yep.  That’s normal.  Retrospective studies are being done which find that body iodine content does not impact ablation rates:

You should speak with your medical doctor about the implications of this study.

And you should know; PLENTY of people no longer follow a low iodine diet before RAI use, with great success.  And if you look closely at the guidelines by the American Thyroid Association, you will see the low iodine diet is only discussed for use during remnant ablation!

LID is not discussed for follow up whole body scans.

Be very wary out there!  There are plenty of LID cookbooks to be sold!  Not to mention, the justification of that thyroid ‘support’ group, where the guidelines quickly wash their hands of the whole lid debacle with the referral to that support group.
